AFRO-SOUL singer Mduduzi Ncube says he is ready to build his music career on his own terms.
The Isiginci hitmaker said his soon-to-be-released song, Amamitha, will serve as his comfort and a reminder of the recent heartbreak after dumping one of Mzansi's biggest record labels.
Mduduzi (31), from Hammarsdale outside Durban, recently made headlines after announcing that he had left Inkabi Records amid reported financial disputes.
At the time, the label reportedly described the split as "amicable".
Big Zulu also reportedly denied that the label owed Mduduzi money and said he was released with their blessing.
Speaking to Daily Sun about his new journey as an independent artist, Mduduzi said it has not been easy, but it's been worth it.
"I don't want to talk about my past experience. I'm moving forward now. Although it's challenging, I'll do it. I've built my own studio, and my soon-to-be-released single, Amamitha, comforts me.
"It motivates me to work hard, be an inspiration and strive to make more money," said Mduduzi.

The singer was discovered by DJ Tira in 2019.
That year, he used to camp outside Afrotainment studios, playing his guitar and singing in an attempt to catch DJ Tira's attention.

After DJ Tira noticed and opened doors for him, his music journey began.
He later joined Inkabi Records, which is home to some top Afro-soul singers.
Now, he's one of the most popular singers known for his soulful and heartfelt love songs.
Mduduzi, who has released songs including Langa Linye and Istimela, said since someone opened doors for him, he's willing to do the same for others.
"Since I opened my studio, I've been getting direct messages from aspiring artists asking me to sign them. Once I settle down, I'll help other young stars and make their dreams come true," said Mduduzi.
Amamitha (meaning millions) reflects his ambition to make millions through music.
He revealed his booking details on social media.
Mduduzi also showed appreciation to his lover, Sinethemba Ngcobo, whom he said has been highly supportive of his vision.
