Dear readers,
It's about to get PG-rated, hot and ultra-steamy if you will, and I trust that our open relationship will allow for robust storytelling.
Picture this: the bathroom door locked, a sultry playlist serenading my triumphant return to the realm of dripping desire, and a curtain drawn with the anticipation of a grand reveal. I cranked the cold knob and it flowed forth like a long-lost lover I hadn't seen in years. The first drops came with a gurgling noise of surprise as the pipes filled and emptied of air. For a moment, I stood there with my eyes closed, savouring every blissful moment. I stood there feeling its warmth wrap around me.

My first time after a long time was truly everything I had dreamed of and more. I felt the weeks of desire wash away and be replaced with nothing but unadulterated love and passion.
I admired the cascading liquid, hypnotised by the sheer glory of this long-awaited moment.
I half expected an angelic choir to break into song as I dipped my toes into the bubbling cauldron of bliss.
That moment my entire body was enveloped in a extremely hot stream of liberation. The beads of water rolled off my back and it was a symphony of droplets that danced merrily. My neighbours may have even heard the whimpers of excitement but they wouldn't have been surprised.

My first shower after what felt like an eternity was truly something to behold. It will remain a moment forever etched into my memory bank as I basked in the glow of my nourished skin. As the hot water coursed across my body, I felt the stress of the past two weeks wash away, down an abyss. It was a spiritual awakening, a catharsis that would have made even the most stoic weep with joy. The water pooled at my feet, forming a deliciously warm reservoir of relief.
So, there you have it, my beloved readers. The first hot shower in my apartment after a torturous two weeks of waterless misery was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
Yes, you read that right! I endured a life devoid of the precious liquid magic due to government's striking failure to supply us with running water. It's been an adventure, to say the least.
I can't say when next this blissful moment will be relived as government lives up to its reputation of tremendously failing to deliver. It even basks in glory, reminding us to use water sparingly.
Please note dear water and sanitation minister, Senzo Mchunu: We can't use water sparingly if we have none. Your government has failed. The City of Joburg's water crisis is the next Eskom and you are all to blame.
Sincerely,
The unmarried daughter
