It's 28 years since South Africa became a place of hope for a "better life for all".
But our country is performing poorly in many dimensions of well-being.
These areas include jobs, education, health, environmental quality, safety and life satisfaction.
We claim to be free at last, but the quality of life for many South Africans is extremely bad.
Our country is going down the drain as a result of the corrupt ANC-led government.
I don't deny the fact that the ruling party has improved people's lives.
But that has been achieved on a highly inequitable basis, given the differing gap of uplifting people around the country.
The government of the ANC is not willing to create jobs.
The reason for this is that among our parliamentarians, there are those who still want to have their hands in the cookie jar.
The only thing the powers that be give people is R350 per month, as if to promote a nation of lazy people.
What' even worse is that the condition of rural schools in some provinces is a great challenge.
Some do not have water, sanitation or electricity, and classrooms are in a terrible state.
The list of our pains in the neck is endless. But we can reclaim our country for the betterment of all, because the struggle for change continues.
