It’s not a Christian problem - Khotso KD Moleko, Mangaung

It has become normal these days to hear people complain about churches and pastors.

It has become normal these days to hear people complain about churches and pastors.

The main culprits are journalists, politicians, celebrities and commentators, who are not even trained academically or spiritually to interpret scripture. They accuse Christians of being out of line, as if we live in a holy nation where certain black pastors are lost.

A church becomes a Christian gathering only when the point of coming together is belief in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Therefore, reports about criminals who act as pastors are not a Christian problem but a sign of a perverse social context.

Christianity does not need help from anyone to be a space of righteousness, as those that need to be told about the good news cannot be the ones telling us how to be good.

Before you can comment or lament, ask yourself this simple question: who masters you?

If you are not under the lordship of Jesus, then keep your opinions for your own religion and not as advice for the public.
