South Africa is currently at its highest in corruption, unemployment as well as other social and equality issues.
This is largely due to the deteriorating leadership and governance of the African National Congress (ANC) in the past 12 years or more.
With that being said, we should also not forget or belittle all the good things the ANC has managed to achieve in the past 28 years in terms of legislation and reform.
Let's be honest, where would South Africa be without things like social grants, RDP housing, free basic education, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, learnership programmes, the Expanded Public Works Programme or BEE?
These have managed to assist many struggling households and have literally transformed a lot of people's lives today.
We all recognise that a lot still needs to be done to address issues our country is still facing. Let's also appreciate the good things this country has achieved, largely by the efforts of the ANC.
