GOSPEL star Dr Winnie Mashaba says her recent Prayer Show in Limpopo was a deeply transformative spiritual experience, not just a sold-out musical event.
Large crowds gathered over the weekend for an evening of worship, reflection and heartfelt prayer.
The 45-year-old singer led powerful musical performances while intentionally creating space for collective prayer, allowing people to bring forward personal struggles and life challenges.
She said the event, held at Sun Meropa, was never about entertainment alone, but about creating a meaningful spiritual encounter that could inspire hope and healing.
"I'll live to tell how God carried me through the difficulties. Both hands were on fire," she said.
She said that hearing the audience respond with "Modimo tla O bone" deeply moved her.
"The show was sold out, and I loved everything about it, especially the performances and the big moment of prayer," she said.

The Prayer Show is closely tied to Mashaba's personal journey. A major inspiration behind her vision was the birth of her daughter, Relebogile, in 2022, a kid she describes as her "miracle" after experiencing two miscarriages.
"In the spirit of expressing gratitude to God, I conceptualised the Relebogile Music Festival," she explained.
The artist believes her life experiences have strengthened her faith and shaped her calling.
"Through life's highs and lows, I've come to understand the importance of maintaining a strong bond with God," she said.
Balancing her music career with organising such a large-scale spiritual event has required discipline and sacrifice. Still, she remains committed to the purpose.
"Organising an event of this magnitude requires focus. I minimise distractions and prioritise what matters," she said.
Winnie continues to advocate for the power of prayer, encouraging others not to lose faith during difficult times.
"Commit everything to God, and He'll take care of the rest," she added.
Looking ahead, she hopes the prayer night will grow into a lasting spiritual movement that will continue to touch lives beyond the stage.
