MEDIA personality Goodwill Thomo redefines what it means to succeed in the digital age.
He chooses authenticity over pressure in an industry often driven by trends and algorithms.
The 28-year-old Goodwill from Chrissiesmeer, Mpumalanga, has built a name for himself through content that prioritises honesty, storytelling and meaningful engagement.
Rather than chasing numbers, Goodwill's work is rooted in purpose.
"For me, being a content creator goes far beyond numbers and views. It's about storytelling, connection and impact. If even one person feels seen, understood or inspired, that matters more to me than going viral," he said.
Through his content, Goodwill aims to educate and spark conversation, particularly around entertainment and pop culture.
He believes being intentional with what he shares has helped him remain grounded while navigating the fast-paced world of social media.

Content creation has also shaped how he sees himself.
"It's given me confidence in my voice. It taught me that my perspective matters and that sharing it can open meaningful conversations," he said.
While many admire the lifestyle, Goodwill is candid about its challenges.
"People see the glamorous side, but they don't see the long hours, constant planning and mental pressure. Content creation is real work," he said.
He said the industry can sometimes feel isolating and financially uncertain.
Despite pressures to constantly perform, Goodwill remains committed to staying authentic.
"What I don't have, I don't pretend to have. I never try to be fake just to look good on social media," he said.
Goodwill also emphasised the importance of protecting his mental health by setting boundaries and taking breaks when needed.
During overwhelming moments, he returns home to spend time with family, which helps him reset.
For him success has evolved over time.
"Success used to be about numbers. Now, it's about impact," he added.
