MUSIC, culture and community spirit to take centre stage in Krugersdorp.
This as the Made-in-Mogale brand celebrates a decade of entertainment excellence with the inaugural Mogale Soul and Gospel Experience.
Taking place at Munsieville Stadium on Sunday, 26 April, the festival arrives just ahead of Freedom Day celebrations, promising a powerful blend of soul, gospel and R&B music in what organisers describe as a celebration of unity, reflection and local pride.
The event forms part of the broader Made-in-Mogale movement, founded in 2016 by directors Kagiso Selele, Tebogo Mokgomong, Itumeleng Tsime and Thabo Ngwenya.
What started as a grassroots initiative has grown into a major festival platform aimed at bringing world-class entertainment closer to Mogale City residents.
"We realised people had to travel far to attend big events, so we created something that speaks directly to our community," said Kagiso.
Adding to the excitement, festivalgoers will also enjoy a Soweto derby fan park featuring a live public viewing of the Betway Premiership clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium, blending music and sport into one massive entertainment experience.

Organisers say the choice of Munsieville Stadium carries deep historical meaning as the venue previously hosted the 2019 reburial ceremony of Pan Africanist Congress freedom fighters executed in 1964, reinforcing the festival's Freedom Day message of remembrance and celebration.
Co-sponsored by fibre network operator, Net Nine Nine, the Soul and Gospel Experience will feature a carefully curated line-up of gospel stars, R&B performers and popular radio presenters alongside live DJ sets, social spaces and family-friendly picnic areas.
Beyond entertainment, the event focuses on economic empowerment by prioritising local artists, food vendors and small businesses from Krugersdorp and surrounding communities.
Tebogo explained that the aim is to create opportunities while offering residents a safe and relaxed environment to enjoy music with their families.
As Made-in-Mogale marks its 10-year milestone, organisers believe the Soul and Gospel Experience will become one of their flagship events, with plans already in place for additional gatherings throughout 2026, including a women-focused event in August 2026, a flagship festival in October 2026 and a summer music celebration in December 2026.
With music, heritage and community at its heart, Mogale City is ready to welcome a new Freedom Day tradition.
