MURDER suspects make U-turn in court.
Two suspects linked to the murders of rapper, Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and celebrity chef, Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane have made another sharp U-turn in court.
Shortly after the Ndimande brothers, Siyabonga and Malusi made a sharp U-turn by applying for bail, they have surprisingly abandoned the application.
The two were successfully extradited from Eswatini to Mzansi in November 2025 to face charges in the Durban Magistrates Court after they were arrested in Eswatini, allegedly hiding from their alleged involvement in the AKA and Tibz murders.
They initially didn't show any interest in applying for bail. But during their appearance on 4 March, the two made a U-turn, telling the court that they wanted to apply for bail.
The date for their formal bail application was set for Friday, 10 April in the Durban Magistrates Court, but the two surprisingly told the court they had abandoned their bail application.
Now their case has been remanded to Friday, 17 April, where they will be served with the indictments.
KZN National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokeswoman Natasha Ramkisson-Kara said the state was going to oppose the Ndimande brothers' bail application.
"Let me start from the beginning. The two accused before court were successfully extradited by the NPA and brought back from the Kingdom of Eswatini.
"They have had subsequent court appearances and on the previous appearance, they did advise that they wanted to bring an application for bail. However, this morning we heard during court proceedings that they have since abandoned the bail application," she said.

Natasha said they had a right to apply for bail but because they have abandoned the bail application, the state will continue with the case.
Legal analyst Abigail Ngobene said as the matter is adjourned for indictments, it means they will now be served with a document that calls them to appear in the high court.
"That is hopeful enough that things move swiftly. They may be joining the five in the high court before the day of the trial," said Ngobene.
Their five co-accused, Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi, Lindani Ndimande, Siyanda Myeza, Mziwethemba Gwabeni and Lindokuhle Ndimande, are set to be back in the Durban High Court on 26 June for their pre-trial after they were denied bail.
