TOP actor gets himself future-ready before the worst happens.
Muzi Mthabela (47), who has appeared in many of Mzansi's top productions, including Generations: The Legacy, has put his acting career on pause to pursue another career as a back-up plan.
With Artificial Intelligence (AI) taking up many jobs, Muzi has turned his love for properties into business.
Muzi is now a real estate agent at Allegiance Properties, buying and selling houses in and around Joburg.
He told Daily Sun he started as a real estate agent six months ago.
"Number one, I love property, and we are living in an age when it's important to have multiple streams of income. Now, it's difficult to survive on one salary.
"AI is changing the entertainment industry. If you're forward-thinking and see danger coming, act now and don't cry later," he said.

Muzi said the industry is already changing. He said 95% to 100% of YouTube videos have AI voice overs.
"So, someone who was getting paid for doing voice overs is fast losing their job. It's difficult to start a new thing, and it will take me about four years to be 100%. I need to start doing it now and learn new skills now.
"As an actor I can't do acting only. I must be able to do other things. I'm also a qualified video editor. If the acting dries up, I can do a few calls and get an editing job. I'm also a public speaker and an MC," he said.
"In 2026, I'll be part of a show I will not disclose now because we are still negotiating. For now, I don't want to take a permanent acting job that might interrupt my other callings."
