The fire department arrived three hours later to put out the flames. The whole building in Cape Town was evacuated immediately because the smoke was so thick like peanut butter. Peter said he only put the fish in for 50 minutes, which is normal for heating up a small piece of hake.

  • The smell was so bad that CEO Mr Beans decided to close the office for two weeks. Nobody was hurt but the microwave was completely destroyed.
  • Employees are worried that they won’t be paid for some days because they were sent home early. However, management has assured them that the days will be deducted from their leave.
