Marchers take to the streets of Polokwane on Monday 8 June 2026.
They demanded that undocumented foreign nationals be removed from South Africa, saying illegal immigration is placing immense pressure on jobs, small businesses and public services.
Members of ActionSA and E-Chaile Limpopo, a local movement aligned with March on March, marched to the Limpopo office of the premier, where they handed over a memorandum calling for urgent government intervention and stricter action against illegal immigration.
The marchers said they’re frustrated by what they described as the government’s failure to deal decisively with undocumented foreigners.

E-Chaile’s Limpopo coordinator, Mogau wa Modimo, said communities are witnessing a growing number of undocumented foreigners who dominate parts of the informal economy.
“To us it seems like the president is giving us the middle finger. He is giving us, his voters and South Africans, the middle finger and saying we can go jump to the nearest hell and that illegal and undocumented foreigners must do whatever they want in our country,”
— Mogau
The march comes as Mzansi is witnessing a growing wave of anti-illegal immigration protests, with communities across the country taking to the streets, demanding tougher action against undocumented foreigners.
ActionSA Regional Executive Committee member in Mopani, Dr Mike Ramothwala, said the party supports efforts aimed at tackling illegal immigration. He also criticised President Cyril Ramaphosa’s address on the issue on Sunday, 7 June.
